and Secretarial Practices was established in 1996. Office Management is a
highly resourceful and practical subject, open to students who have completed
their 10+2 education in any stream. The discipline focuses on the systematic
process of planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling
office activities to achieve objectives efficiently and economically. It aims
to enhance productivity, ensure a smooth workflow, maintain effective public
relations, minimize costs, and manage organizational change while adapting to
new challenges.
The department equips students with
the necessary skills to improve office efficiency and prepares them for diverse
career opportunities in both private and public sectors. Graduates can pursue
roles such as secretary, executive secretary, administrative assistant,
executive assistant, professional assistant, sales assistant, marketing
